Question about JTAG circuit on DEVKIT 5744P

Hi Sir,

I have a question about JTAG circuit on DEVKIT 5744P.  On the DEVKIT, it's only use R22, and R23 is empty.

If I add 0 Ohm resistors on R23, that mean R22 and R23 are not empty.  Could the JTAG  work properly?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

it's better to use only one of the resistors. To see the difference:

Hi Sir,

Thanks for your reply.

As you say, does it mean the JTAG-RSTx pin need connect the "Reset Input/ Output" circuit firstly than connect to MCU-RSTx pin , and can not connect MCU-RSTx pin directly?

Hi,

MCU-RSTx can be connected directly to JTAG connector. But there's no advantage to have both resistors R22 and R23 populated.

Lukas

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I encounter the error message on S32DS by using Multilink FX as below when I populated R22 and R23, but if I only populated R22, the 5744P downloading is fine. If R22 and R23 both are populated,

how do I set the S32DS  to solve this problem?
