Im trying to help a large bay are OEM customer who will be using both Ethernet Ports of the Calypso in a switch configuration.
They are trying to model their network and determine latencies through our two ethernet ports.
They will be using DMA for all ingress and egress for both ports.
Have we looked at our latencies and throughputs in this configuration? Do we have an expert I can loop in so we can talk about gotchas and optimizations? They will basically want all traffic coming in on one port being immediately sent out the other port. They would like for this to be at 100MB/s. Is this possible? If they are running an RTOS and doing other tasks how will that negatively impact this performance? Should they dedicate a Z4 to this function entirely? Could they use the Z2 and expect 100MB?
