MPC5744P MCAL ISO26262 package integration issue

Hi,

I am working with MPC5744P with the e200z4 processors using the S32DS version 2.1.
Application - Industrial (Safety critical IEC61508)

Since the SDK was not safety certified, it was suggested to used the ISO26262 MCAL drivers, which was created for the AUTOSAR project [1]. But in its integration manual, it is mentioned that I have to use Tresos tool to modify and generate MCAL component configuration [2]. Does it mean that I cannot use the Processor Export tool for generating configurations here when using the ISO26262 MCAL package. Could you please clarify? and also on how to use the ISO MCAL package in the non-AUTOSAR environment?

[2] AUTOSAR_MCAL_SPI_IM Section 5.3 and also AUTOSAR_MCAL_SPI_UM Section 3.6.2 pdfs

Thank you

Yes, correct.

On this product line there were no RTD and there were 2 options: SDK that is free of charge and MCAL is not for free and customer must other AUTOSAR tools to use it.

1) Yes, Tresos must be used.

2) Unfortunately Processor Expert cannot be used.

Thank you for your reply.

From the link below, I understood that RTD exe file is required for working with Tresos.

and since this product line has no RTD, is it not possible to work with Tresos ? and so no possibility to configure

Thank you for your response. Could you kindly clarify what does "MCAL is not for free" means ? I am confused because I was able to download the ISO MCAL package and the Tresos tool with license from the NXP websites for free. Is there something more I should be looking into?

I am apologizing, I wanted to write "MCAL may not be for free"

If you see following table, most of MCAL releases is now free of charge, icluding MCAL for MPC5744P:
