Looking at MPC555 / MPC556 datasheet for I/O drive strength in page 64, a strength of 25/50pF is mentioned for 3V pins.

This is confusing because I cant confirm whether 25pF strength is for MPC555 and 50pF strength is for MPC556,

OR

25pF is half strength and 50pF is full strength for both MPC555/MPC556,

Can you please explain.

Thanks

Hi,

the only difference between MPC555 and MPC556 is that MPC556 supports code compression. Other characteristics are exactly the same.

As you mentioned, 25/50pF means 25pF for reduced drive strength and 50pF for full drive strength.

Regards,

Lukas
