IEEE 1588 in MPC5606E/MPC5604E

I'm now working with MPC5606E and I want to use IEEE 1588 in the chip. But I have no idea about how to use it and how can I start?

Could you please help me and give me some references?

Hi Helen,

NXP does not provide any source code for ieee 1588. You can download library for ColdFire, which supports PTP protocol, but this library is compiled without source codes.

I am afraid that implementing ieee 1588 is too complicated and it is out of scope of the technical support.

But you can try to look to attached document which could provides you basic idea about implementing ieee 1588 (document is intended for Micrel microcontroller).
