How to use the HSM on MPC5748G

Hello

I want to use the HSM on 5748G. I know HSM has a dedicated process core, and there is a security firmware for HSM. What I want to konw is how to get this firmware. Or whether the 5748G has been programed with this firmware when delivery to custumer from NXP ? Thanks.

You will get in programmed on chip from NXP factory.

Directly in factory, in case you have secure sample.

In case you have regular sample but with HSM module, it is expected that FW will be developed by you.

However when I use the multilink debugger to read the HSM code flash block on the chip, I find that all of the data is 0xFF. Is it true the chip has been programmed with HSM firmware ?

Hello,

Well, that is the case when Code block is erased. Did you program something to it?

In case you have sample with HSM FW your chip will be marked as KC6676xx instead of SPC5748G...

Also

You can read the version number info of firmware @ 0x0061FFB8.

My chip is marked as SPC5748G. I think it doesn't have HSM FW. Thanks for your reply.
