I have a customer possibly running into errata e7953 as listed in https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/errata/MPC5604B_2M27V.pdf failure to clear interrupt flag when disabling peripheral by changing mode.

Could you give us some more background on the types of unspecified behavior that this might result in? Specifically: can this result in the microcontroller entering a state where it will fail to wake from an external system wakeup source?

Hi,

Hmm, unspecified behaviorr.

How to specify it or give some examples :smileyhappy:

Ok, possible scenario in my opinion can be:

Specifically: can this result in the microcontroller entering a state where it will fail to wake from an external system wakeup source?

Micro can enter only a states defined in mode entry module. But I expect that homogeneous system serves/cancels all the pending interrupt sources. If there is possibly pending interrupt which can wake up micro, the micro will can be awaken or to prevent wakeup from external source.

This would be for longer discussion which can only design express.

I suggest you to submit ticket via NXP web.

Peter
