Hello Folks,

We are facing an issue with Lauterbach not being able to immediately attach to the target upon LBIST reset.
We would like to debug the first 200 ms upon the LBIST, therefore, we need to make Lauterbach attach as soon as the target is up again upon LBIST.

Is there any idea how could we make it attach right upon LBIST ?

Hello,

LBIST will trigger reset at its end.

So the debugger is able to connect immediately right after the reset is released.

Lauterbach is powerful debugger, so you can write the script in its language to do so for you.

Or you can hold manually reset and release it in the moment when you execute attach + break command.

I use simple Attach+break button (which execute these commands) and simply executing it as fast as I can once I have started BIST.

Refer to PRACTICE documentation from Lauterbach to see all the possibilities of attach on reset.

Best regards,

Peter

Hello,

The issue still persists after online LBIST STCU reset.

For the time being, the work around we found is to introduce a short delay (of 250 ms) after STCU reset to give room to the debugger to attach to the target when running the script you mentioned.

We are also in touch with Lauterbach to get to a clean way to make the debugger attach to the target without the need to instruct any delay in the code.

Best regards

Hello,

This depends on the device you are using. Since you dont share nay details on the part number, and the delay worked for you I expect that you are using some of MPC5777C device.

Indeed, I am using MPC5777C 3N45H.

Is there anything special about this device in relation to the topic?
