Hello, old post but in case anyone is looking for an I2C eTPU function, note that the version ASH WARE has developed has been provided under an open source license at https://github.com/jddiener/I2C-eTPU.  Perhaps in a more useful form, it is also available as part of the ASH WARE eTPU Code Builder, see https://www.ashware.com/eTPU-Code-Builder.

NXP does not provide I2C eTPU function.

However this is being offered by third party provider AshWare. See following link:
