Unable to Update MCU-Link Firmware on Windows 10 (FRDM-MCXN947)

I am experiencing difficulties updating the firmware of the MCU-Link probe included with the FRDM-MCXN947 board.

Here are the details of my setup:

Operating System: Windows 10

MCUXpresso IDE: v24.12 [Build 148] [2025-01-10]

Firmware version: CMSIS-DAP V3.128 (as shown in the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon: MCU-LINK FRDM_MCXN947 (r0E7) CMSIS-DAP V3.128)

USB drivers: already updated

Device Manager: the probe is listed only as VcomPort 

 I have read the MCU-Link installation article and followed all the suggested steps

Despite all these steps, the firmware does not update automatically, and the manual update fails as well. The MCU-Link probe is not being fully recognized by the IDE, which prevents firmware management.

I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue so that the probe is properly detected and updated

If your issue still is not solved, please download and install the latest firmware from:
LinkServer for Microcontrollers - NXP

Note: The LinkServer installer includes firmware update utilities for MCU-Link and LPC-Link2. 

You can find MCU-Link under: 

C:\nxp\LinkServer_25.3.31\MCU-LINK_installer\scripts
