Hi Wei Chenwei,

we recommend you to install "visual c++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015" from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145. This is third party product and there were reported problems, if you have any other version already installed. Unfortunately we cannot affect this problem.

Another user solved the problem by installing previous version of the tool and then updated to version 5, see https://community.nxp.com/t5/MCUXpresso-Secure-Provisioning/Secure-Provisioning-Tool-V5-b220825/td-p...

Note: the problem is also described in User Guide, in the chapter 9. Troubleshooting.

Regards,
Marek

We're experiencing the same issue across different devices. I tested on it on Windows 10 and 11 fully patched and with the correct visual c++ Redistributable installed. These machines have different languages and one machine was bare Windows 10 without a domain nor any policies to it. All failed.

There seems to be bigger issue here with the software itself.
I tried running it with /noprereqs, however even though it runs the exe with the parameter it still checks for the Redistributable.

Please assist regarding a workaround with this issue @marek-trmac .

Hi Martin,

the original issue was resolved in "MCUXpresso Secure Provisioning tool, installer 5.0.1". There was wrong check of the redistributable files in version 5.0 and this was fixed in 5.0.1.

Versions 5.0 and 5.0.1 are identical, the only fix is in the installation of redistributable files.

Can you please re-download the installer and ensure, you are using 5.0.1?

If this does not help, can you provide more details about your problem?

Regards,
Marek
