NXP MCU Boot Utility V3.4.0 - No success for Generating Certificate SRK it is under progress from long time.

MCU - i.MXRT1052

I am trying to add Certificates and Encrypted Image for MCU secure boot but while following steps given as per https://github.com/nxp-mcuxpresso/mcu-boot-utility?tab=readme-ov-file.

The certificates are not generating as it is showing progress bar but stuck some where from long time please find attached image.

Hi Rahul,

this Community is for (official) MCUXpresso Secure Provisioning Tool and not for NXP MCU Boot Utility.

Have you tried Secure Provisioning Tool for your use case? This is supported tool by NXP and you have higher chance we'll be able to help.

Hi Libor,

I tried with MCUXpresso Secure Provisioning Tool but not able to generate SB file. here i am getting SBfile editor is currently not supported for the selected processor i.e iMX RT 1052.

because this SBfile we will flash through NXP Mfg utility what we are using for flashing controller during production and we cannot switch to MCUXpresso Secure Provisioning Tool

Security feature is not enabled by default, you need to add two packages in below path to enable security.

\NXP-MCUBootUtility\tools\cst

\NXP-MCUBootUtility\tools\image_enc.

Anyway, this tool is mainly for normal boot. for security enablement, please switch to official SPT.
