Assistance with Configuring Lottie Support in SDK v24.12.00 for NXP EVK-MIMXRT595

Hi,

I am working on the NXP EVK-MIMXRT595 platform with the latest SDK v24.12.00, including support for the LVGL v9.2.1 UI library. As part of my project, I want to utilize the Lottie widget to create a demo screen with Lottie animation.

However, I have noticed that while SDK v24.12.00 includes LVGL v9.2.1, the support for the Lottie widget has not been configured out of the box in this SDK release.
I am reaching out to inquire about the best approach to configure the Lottie support in this version of the SDK.

Please, guide me on how to enable Lottie support or share any relevant resources, examples, or documentation that could assist in setting this up.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your guidance to resolve the problem mentioned.

Best regards,
Amaresh Ray

Hi @Amaresh_Ray,

Unfortunately, this is not a limitation of the SDK (or GUI Guider) version. Rather, it is a limitation of the RT595. As you can see from Table 5 of the GUI Guider User Manual, the lottie widget is only supported for 4 digit RT devices, not 3 digit or LPC devices:

I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

BR,
Edwin.

Dear @EdwinHz ,

Thanks for your response.

I would like to understand more about the primary reasons the RT595 does not support the Lottie widget. Specifically, is the limitation related to hardware resources, graphics processing capabilities, or any other factor?

Additionally, if the RT595 can render Lottie animations, are there any plans to add support for it in future SDK releases?

Thank you again for your time and guidance, and I look forward to your insights.

Best Regards,

Amaresh Ray
