show toolbar hidden config

I seem to have lost the toolbar on startup in all perspectives and it goes away when the IDE decided to change perspectives or switching workspaces.

I can select it each time it disappears with Window/Appearance/Show tool bar which is a real pain, I want it to be on by default in eclipse's config or ini somewhere as it was working up till now.

Any ideas....

I created a new workspace and imported my project and so far its behaving. Thanks

Does it happen for a fresh/new workspace too?

have you tried to reset your perspectives already (menu Window -> Perspective -> Reset)?
