I am trying to work with MK60FN1M0VLQ12 and MK20DX128VMP5 at mcuxpresso however i cant find these processors to work with. Could i use other processor or the support for these are not available yet ?
Hello Juliano,
Develop Kinetis chips on MCUXpresso, we need install SDK into the IDE first .
For example , about this MK60FN1M0VLQ12, first download theMCUXPresso SDK package for it
refer to Generating a downloadable MCUXpresso SDK v.2 package
Then refer to the MCUXpresso_IDE_User_Guide -> 4.4 Installing an SDK to install .
(I attached this DOC to you .) .
You can also refer to this user guide to crate new project and import demo project of SDK.
For the time of supporting of MK20DX128VMP5, I will ask the development team , and tell you .
Hope it helps
Have a great day,
TIC

Dear Alice, thanks for the answer. The problem is that I cannot find
MK60FN1M0VLQ12 on the list of processors in order to generate the sdk.
There is only three k60 parts and none match this fpu 1m flash that I am
using in my project.
Can you investigate why it's not available the MK60FN1M0VLQ12 on MCUXpresso
sdk generator?

Hello Juliano,
Sorry for my mistake, I misunderstand the MK63FN1M0xxx12 to MK60FN1M0xxx12, sorry。
OK, I will also ask the MCUXXpresso SDK team about the support for MK60FN1M0xxx12 .
Now, you can use the KDS with processor expert to develop these two chips:

Dear Alice,
I want to say that after some research i have found that the K63 and K60
are quite similar. The architecture and peripherals are almost the same.
The only difference are 3 pins (tamper @ K63 x vref out and DAC1 and DAC2 @
K60). The processors besides its three pins are pin compatible (considering
the 144 LQFP package only).
Then i believe that is possible to use K63 in replacement of K60. To
confirm this i just want to know from NXP engineering team if i can leave
the tamper pins in K63 floating if i will not use them or i need to put a
known voltage (Ground or VCC) ?
The good news is that the K63 is fully supported by mcuxpresso today.
I am waiting your reply.

Hello Juliano,
I think its hard to use SDK for k63FN1M0xxx12 to K60FN1M0xxx12 .
For there are many difference between them , for example :
- The FlexRAM:
- The CAN interrupt vector number .
- K60 has 4 ADC , K60 only has 2 .
- k60 has PTA PTB PTC PTD PTE PTF , while K63 hasn't PTF port .
- And so on .
You can refer to the compare the manuals of the two chips, also you can create a simple project
on KDS, then compare the header fiels .
While if you only use the modules that they are the same , maybe you can use the SDK for k63 into k60 .

Alice, sorry for my email, i didnt have explained my application.
In my application i dont use PTF, flexRam, CAN, ADC and DAC (i use external
ADC and DAC).
Mainly because of this that i claim that i could change the processors.
Do you think that is ok ?
Regards,
Hello Juliano,
If you don't use these different peripherals , maybe you can have a try .
BR
Alice
It would be also nice to know why K70 omitted from SDK Builder.
Hi Evgeny,
There isn't the official release time about k70 support the KSDK.

Alice
Thanks a lot Alice.
I will use the KDS for a while, but i am really interested to use
mcuxpresso as soon as it support the processors.
There are some estimation date for mcuxpresso support k60 float point and
k20 fixed point ?

Hello Juliano,
Sorry to reply you late, I got the response just now, the committed date of MCUXpressso
support "MK60FN1M0VLQ12" and " MK20DX128VMP5" is set to 21/May/2020 .

Alice
Hello Juliano,
I also haven't got the reply now , sorry .
