Looking for schematics for IMXRT1050-EVKB. The latest version on the NXP site does not seems to match my board.
The board is marked with IMXRT1050-EVKB, however there is a sticky white label on the board with the number SCH-30168 REV A1

What is the significance of EVKB and SCH-30168 REV A1

Not sure if I have the right schematics?

Hi @trailerman ,

Please see the revision history table in schematic head.

Besides that, the chip is changed from MIMXRT1052DVL6A to MIMXRT1052DVL6B.

Regards,

Jing

Hi Jing,

Things are getting more clear. We have 2 boards: one with rev A cpu, one with rev B cpu. The board with rev B cpu is EVKB version A1. This board has transistor solution for SD card power switch. According to the (only) schematics we have, EVKB version B1 has the new solution. This difference is not documented in the Description of the Revision History. Are there more differences which are undocumented? Or can you arrange a B1 board for me?

I am preparing a hardware design for my product and want to make sure I have all the improvements included in this design.

Why should I, for example, choose for the chip solution instead of the transistor solution? It would be helpful to get some guidance.

Regards,

Johan

Hi @jvdstoel ,

I think there won't be more different.

The new circuit is to simplify the design I think. It is not complex and just want to switch the power when power on or at any time by MCU.

Hi Jing,

Unfortunately your answer is not correct. I have a new board with REV A1 printed on it. This board contains for example 2 transistors Q7 and Q8 which I cannot find in the schematic diagram. It looks like these are used instead of U37 (SD card power switch). Hopefully the updated documentation is made available soon.

Best regards,

Johan

Hi @jvdstoel ,

the two transistors can be found on that schematic sheet 4.

Hi Jing,

This confirms my point. There are major (?) undocumented differences between the several schematics and pcbs.

The design files on your websites show the schematics version B1, dated 2019-2-21 (with a different SD card switch circuit).

You have uploaded in this post version A1, dated 2017-12-22.

The development board we just bought through Farnell contains the new silicon (I hope) on an old pcb ???

Can you please double check & clarify what the latest development board, schematics & pcb versions are?

Best regards,

Johan

Hi,

The latest version is B1. What you got is an old version, A1 board with A0 chip. I don't think it could be a A1.

Please refer to the errata for their different.

Hi Jing,

With regards to the numbers on the board?

What does each of them mean?
