I am using MCUXpresso v11.7.1
I am attempting to move away from CodeWarrior IDE and instead use MCUXpresso. There is a feature that I am looking for in MCUXpresso but have not been able to find so far. Is there a way to flash a HEX file through MCUXpresso using a P&E Micro programmer while powering the target with the same device?
I have tried using the GUI flash tool which does allow me to flash a hex file but I am not seeing a way to power the device like you could in CodeWarrior.
I see that powering a device is an option in the debug configuration, but I would like to avoid using a debug session for certain use cases.
Also a side question, is there a way to use the GUI flash tool without having a project open?
Any information or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to use the P&E Mirco Multilink Universal FX to program a MKL16Z128VFM4.
Please let me know if there is any other information that you need.
Hi nick_schneider
NXP doesn't have standalone GUI Flash tool. P&E has but it is not free. See

Hope this will help you.

Thank you for the link I will consider that option.
Just to confirm, is there no way to use MCUXpresso to power a MKL16 target using the PE Micro Multilink Universal FX like there is in CodeWarrior?
HI nick_schneider
With MCUXpresso IDE GUI Flash Tool, hex files can be programmed with PEmicro probes but not binary files. Please have a try.
