Online debug Fails in XpressoMCU IDE for NXP FRDM KW36

Hi All,

whenever i try to debug my code I always get Error, and the debugger terminates. But my program loads and works.

What could be the reason.  Please find the below screen shot of the error.

Thanks for your reply. I'm still facing the same issue, unable to debug even after reinstalling the Xpresso IDE.  Let me know any steps to that would have went wrong or we shall have a screen share meeting to debug the issue.

In addition to Sebastian's suggestions/questions, would you please attach the logs from "debug messages" console plus the ones from the "gdb traces" console? These would be really helpful.

Hi Nasrulla,

Could you please let me know which example are you trying to debug? Did you debug any other example before this one?

Could you please try debugging another example to see if they work?

Also, could you please try deleting the .launch file and debugging again?

Thanks for quick response. i am trying to debug dspi_polling_transfer_b2b_master example code for kw36 controller.

i am not using not using any external debug probe. But i  am setting breakpoint. 

Note:- i am not able to see semi hosting debug message on console.

Hi Anupam,

I tried to replicate the issue on my side, but couldn't get it to happen.

If you select UART as the Debug Console, can you see the output using a serial terminal like TeraTerm or PuTTY?

Also, could you please let me know where are you trying to set the breakpoint so I can test it on my side?

I'm able to debug correctly using the same SDK and MCUXpresso as you. Could you please let me know which example are you using?

Could you also please let me know if you are you using an external debug probe like a j-Link or PE Micro probe? Are you trying to set a breakpoint?

Could you please let me know which example are you trying to debug? What MCUXpresso version are you using?

Could you also please tell me which debug interface are you using? Is it an external debugger?

I am using the above MCUXpress IDE above version. I am using FRDM-KW36 board. I am using a sample code from installed SDK.
