MIMXRT1060-EVK flashing red light rapidly during debug

I'm running the example hello world example for the MIMXRT1060-EVK and it builds fine, but when i try to debug it, it stops at the first function inside main.c, which is BOARD_ConfigMPU(). It says there is a temporary breakpoint there. When i try to press the green arrow to resume the debug session and go through the rest of the code, the board flashes red LED very rapidly, and the green arrow disappears. It looks like the program just haults and doesn't continue. What am I doing wrong? I'm using mcuxpresso.

After a minute or so, I then get a message saying

pastedImage_10.png

and the light stops flashing. Even the red end debug square is grayed out now.

This is the output of the Debug messages:

Hi,

The log looks ok. We tried to reproduce the problem with the same board / setup but in our case worked normally. Can you please try to change the MCU memory settings to use OC RAM instead BOARD SDRAM (Project settings-> C/C++ Build-> MCU Settings -> select OC RAM and press the "Up" button until OC RAM reaches the second position after Flash (instead of BOARD SDRAM) -> Rebuid-> Debug). We would like to check if the data corruption at runtime comes from the type of the RAM you are using.

Greetings,

Also, the second test (if the above is still not working), revert the above modification and move the entire application to RAM (project settings -> C/C++ Build ->Settings->MCU Linker-> Managed Linker Script -> check "Link application to RAM" -> rebuild -> debug

Hi,

Can you please provide few details:

- what MCUXpresso version do you use?

- can you send the gdb trace log?

- what debug probe do you use?

- can you send the debug probe log?

Greetings,

Using:

-MCUXpresso IDE v11.1.1_3241

-Debug Probe: CMSIS-DAP

Program stopped.

Temporary breakpoint 1, main () at ../source/hello_world.c:35

Looks like the program stops but I'm not sure why. I haven't made any chances to the code.

Hi,

Accessing that 0xc3cfdfad address looks like a corruption in application since in the default HelloWorld there is no memory range defining that address. Also base address and length seem corrupted.

I asked also for debug log to the probe, can you also please send the content of the "Debug messages" console?

PS. Is the above gdb log the full log you obtained?

What I provided above is the full content of the Debugger Console.

This is the content of the Console:

[MCUXpresso Semihosting Telnet console for 'evkmimxrt1060_hello_world LinkServer Debug' started on port 22557 @ 127.0.0.1]

Can you please show me what I need to do to provide the logs you're looking for?
