Hello everyone!!

I'm facing a problem with my MCUXpresso v11.2.1 (Build 4149). It's not find the update site to download sdk to install. My network is full of protections and I cannot disable all.

I would like to know what connection the software makes, because neither in my server log is showing a error.

Hi @MonJul 

As my colleague Libor, mentioned,  If you network is full of security things, it is possible that the  firewall intercepts the HTTPS communication, leading to this issue.

Could you help us to create a new thread describing your security settings, pasting  <workspace>/.metadata/.log file and specifying  your MCUXpresso IDE version ? If you like you could make reference to this thread.

Hi,

 

your log seems *exactly* when someone is intercepting your connection. It might be a firewall/antivirus solution. Could you try to temporarily disable it before downloading the SDK/data?

 

Also if you have by accident openssl installed on your pc, could you try to run:

 

openssl.exe s_client -showcerts mcuxpresso.nxp.com:443 </dev/null

Hello,

look or paste here the <workspace>/.metadata/.log file . If you network is full of security things, it is possible that your firewall intercepts the HTTPS communication, providing company's certificate which is not trusted by Eclipse/Java, because Java has its own list of trusted authorities and do not rely on the OS list.

I hope you are doing well!
As you mention security features in your network, I am tempted to think that the firewall may be blocking the TCP port being used by the IDE to fetch an SDK from the SDK repository. Let me check internally for feedback.


In the meantime, we can try sort this issue by doing a drag and drop installation of your required SDK. Please check if you are able to acces to the MCUXpresso SDK builder using your web browser.

If you sucess, please refer to the MCUXpresso user guide chapter 4.2.3 Obtaining and Installing an SDK via SDK Builder.
