This has been bothered me for a week after reading the forum for solution on this issue that also happened to me as well all of the sudden.

This happen with MCUXpressor IDE build v11.5.0. The problem happened after I reboot my PC and there was no upgrade or anything on my PC or my board. I checked the forum and the similar thing is happening to the other guy but my case is different because I did not connect to the JLink but via the mini USB on the board. Neither do I delete any JLink files. It just happened after I reboot my PC. I am not sure if the CMSIS-DAP device driver is corrupted or not because I was working on  the USB DFU SDK program before that.

I need this to be resolved asap because I basically cannot work on anything under this condition. Please help.

I changed the device drivers for DAP-CMSIS, USB Serial and WebUsb to the microsoft instead of NXP in the device driver. Then, everything becomes ok. I was a bit worried because of one solution was suggesting to reinstall the entire OS (Windows 10). So far this has worked for me but I am not sure if this is a proper solution or any hidden issues on that.

Unfortunately, it's very difficult to debug these kind of issues over a forum. I'd say something happened with your hardware. Also, it might help if you'd take a look at the guide written for MIMXRT1170-EVK - https://community.nxp.com/t5/Blogs/Overview-of-using-the-MIMXRT1170-EVK-with-MCUXpresso-IDE/ba-p/124...

I have reinstalled the CMSIS-DAP driver. It has the same problem as well. I am fully out of my wits.
