Hi NXP,
I found in the release notes of MCUXpresso 11.4.0 an unknown NXP debug probe:
MCU‐LINK "Pro"
Is this a new developed debug probe? Is there more information available?
Best regards,
Sven
Hi @Svenifax
FYI : As Brendon said, now we have information for the probe on :
This probe is also Supported by Segger ( for evaluation and development purposes and only for NXP MCUs )
https://www.segger.com/products/debug-probes/j-link/models/other-j-links/mcu-link/
So now you can check it out, as it is the replacement for the LPC-Link 2, including interesting new features.
Yet, as far I know, stock is pending, as this is a new product.
Diego
Thanks for your interest in MCU-Link Pro - it is expected to be available in late September. I'll be posting all about it when we release!
Regards,
Brendon
I noticed the version of the debug probe firmware mentioned in the release notes is significantly higher than the currently shipping one (1.098) as well. Any hope for a new firmware release soon (maybe including a fix for the issue I encountered here: https://community.nxp.com/t5/MCUXpresso-General/MCU-Link-VCOM-bitrate-1-5Mbps-to-3Mbps-range/m-p/131... ) ?
Already in 1.098 it will enumerate in various "modes" depending on hardware pin strapping (Trace and Power in various combinations)
Hi @wj_ueos
Thank you for your reply,
I am currently working in your inquiry, I will ask internally and let you know
All the best,
Diego.
Hi @Svenifax
Thanks for your question.
The MCU-Link Pro is a new debug probe, it has more powerful functions and will be released in the future.
