One of the many ways I learn is by understanding the naming of terms.  I understand clock and name in the term clock_ip_name but I am having a difficult time finding the reason behind ip.  Can someone please enlighten me about ip as it relates to clock_ip_name?

Thank you.

Hi Joseph,

IP stands for Intellectual Property.

Hi Nick,

clock_ip_name refers to the clock of the specific IP module.

I recommend you to check the following post from the ARM community.

What is IP anyway? - Processors blog - Processors - Arm Community

Best regards,

Felipe
