Hi,
I need to modify some code fora LPC1759 already on a production board. I have bought a LPC link 2 board and also have a olimex jtag debugger from previous work but thought the LPC link 2 may be easier to work with. I have downloaded nxppresso and the LPC open libs for the 17xx chips. Here.
When trying to set up a test project I came across the LPC1769 evaluation board (OM13085UL) which seems to be what I have to choose to set up a project. I also have started to watch this video which suggest you can use the evaluation boards as a programmer. So would using the evaluation board be a better route to program? I am struggling for info with this LPC1759 chip.
Many Thanks
Hello Thomas Brickell
Yes, some evaluation boards can be used as debugger, for this purpose some modifications must be done.
LPC-Link2 functions as a debug probe but it also can be used as an evaluation board with the proper configuration.
The LPC1769 evaluation board and LPC-Link2 are good options to program your board if you already have bought the LPC-Link2 it can be used to debug your board since it is compatible with LPC17000 series.
Let me know if this is helpful, If you have more questions do not hesitate to ask me.
