Has anyone been able to install MCUExpresso 11 under Centos 7.x?
I absolutely have this working under Centos 7.6. I used 'alien --to-tgz" tool to convert the .deb packagess to a tar files. Then I compared the files that needed to be created or copied and I did some moving around by hand. I had it all up and working in about 1.5 hours. I was even able to get the PEMicro tools running through my USB ports.
It sure seems like it is an excuse by some "Ubuntu" fan of an NXP employee that doesn't want to be bothered with supporting a real enterprise level Linux distribution.
If you explain what problems you are experiencing and somebody may be able to offer advice. Despite what NXP test on, MCUXpresso is known to work on many different Linux distros
Hi,
MCUXpresso IDE for Linux is a 64-bit application, so it will not run on 32-bit systems. It is supported and tested only on the Linux distribution Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Limited testing has also been done on pre-release builds of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
Have a nice day!
