Connect more than two MCU-Link to a single USB hub

Hello,

I am trying to design a system in which I have 7 MCU-Link connected to my laptop.

Problem : I only have 3 USB ports. Consequently, I tried to use a USB hub (with dedicated power supply).

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. Using "pyocd", I am only seeing two probes at most.

$ pyocd list
  # Probe/Board Unique ID Target
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  0 NXP Semiconductors MCU-LINK (r0FF) CMSIS-DAP V2.263 AGGJRR3C3UN1T n/a

  1 NXP Semiconductors MCU-LINK (r0FF) CMSIS-DAP V3.108 QRLLWRUEEOARB n/a

This is what I see in peripheral manager :

Sorry, this is in french. But you get the idea : the 5 probes I am missing are the ones listed above with warning sign. If I click on one of those lines, I can read following (translated) error message : "This device cannot start (code 10) insufficient system resources exist to complete the api".

I tried to solve this issue without any luck so far.

Here's a couple of things I observed :
1) This also happens with another laptop.
2) This also happens with various USB hubs (all with dedicated power supply)
3) So far, I was able to connect 3 probes at most by plugging each one of them directly in all of my 3 USB ports.

Therefore, I have two questions :
- Did someone already achieve to connect more than two MCU-Link to a single USB hub ?
- Would someone have any idea of what I could try to achieve my goal ?

Best regards,

PS : I know the simplest solution is to get a laptop/computer with at least 7 USB ports. I will most probably get to that but I am still looking for a way to do it with my laptop.

Hi erenaud

I connected two MCU-Link to a single USB hub. there is no issue.

I suggest you testing it with other USB hub.

Have a nice day,

@ZhangJennie What are you talking about ?

I said *more than* two probes (strictly more if you prefer).

Plus you can see on my message that I also managed to connect two probes to my computer...

I tested connecting 3 MCU-Link parallel, all of them can be detected and debug.

I use Philips USB HUB.  Please test it again with another HUB
