Hi.
I am under development WiFi6 based on LS1012A. (Layerscape® FRWY-LS1012A board)
I installed LSDK with 5.15 kernel..
when I check this WiFi6 module with Linux PC, it shows 1.9Gbps.
but with LS1012A, it only shows around 500Mbps.
It's not just slow performance, but it feels like there is a limit near 500Mbps.
is there any speed issue related to PCIe? or is there any speculation about this?
May I have below details?
Of course, the PC specification is very high.
you think it's because of the LS1012A specification?
I had that thought at first, but I actually measured CPU utilization and it wasn't high..only 10~15%?
the system is LS1012A + WCN6856 (WIFI6 card) + yocto 5.15.5 + atk11 driver 5.17.1 + hostap 2.11
1. I ported 5.17 atk11 driver to yocto 5.15.5 kernel, because atk11 driver 5.15.5 show an error about MSI vector.. and I couldn't fixed it...so, I ported and it worked...
but...this could be the reason of limitation.
so...I am waiting the higher kernel version come out.
and NXP told me that the 6.1 version will be release in 2023..
I am just waiting for that time to come fast.
We didn't have the WCN6856 card, the host is different between LS1012A and X86 PC.
As I know, the kernel 6.1 will be released as Linux factory Q1 release in end of March 2023.
wow. that's so great!!!!
Thank you!!
