Hi,
I have a question about the configuration word.
If I generate an eMMC boot image for ls1088ARDB_PB, I can boot from eMMC if I use qixis_reset eMMC.
But if I generate an SD boot image for ls1088ARDB_PB, I can boot from eMMC at power-on, and no need to use qixis_reset function.
WHY ?
That means, for my comprehension, that the CFG_RCW_SRC[6:0] can be set to 7'b100_0000 for both eMMC and SD.
In this case, the value 7'b100_0001 is useless.
Do I understand the behaviour correctly or I miss something ?
Thanks,
You understanding is correct, CFG_RCW_SRC[6:0] configuration can be set to 7'b100_0000 for both eMMC and SD on LS1088ARDB. When you use eMMC boot, please plug off SD card from LS1088ARDB.
Thanks,
In our board we will use a LS2044A then my question is :
Can we replicate SD-eMMC desgin from LS1088ARDB (without the cpld) and set configuration word as
CFG_RCW_SRC[6:0] to 7'b100_0000 for both eMMC and SD ?
Thanks,
Please design LS2088A/LS2044A target board according to the reference manual, CFG_RCW_SRC[6:0] = 7'b100_0000 is for booting from a SD 2.0 card; CFG_RCW_SRC[6:0] = 7'b100_0001 is for booting from an eMMC.
