How to program an 16-bit NOR Flash in 25-bit addressing (CS0)

Hi all,

We are working on a bringing up of an LS1021A board using a BDI3000 and hard coded RCW But we are not able to access the NOR Flash which is connected in the 25-bit address mode.

Does any body have an idea how to programm the Nor Flash in 25-bit addressing mode or which hard coded RCW we should use?

Hi all,

so in the mean time we could programm the NOR-Flash ... we had few problems with the Power-on reset configuration which is given by the CPLD.

At the moment we are struggling by fetching the RCW to LS1 during the startup! Step by step ... ;-).

While you are trying to access your NOR flash over

25-bit address, can you capture the address lines

and see what is being generated.

With the RCW you are feeding via BDI, are you

able to boot and halt out of reset ?

As far as I can see from LS1021A Reference Manual, Section 4.4.6.3, IFC related settings are the same for all hard-coded options, the only PLL settings are different.
