The debugger terminates after a few minutes every time I try to attach.  When attached it seems to work.  I can pause and look thru memory.  If I need to use the LPCXpresso IDE please put in a link for the download.

Thanks!

Hello @GregT,

Could you please share with us where it stopped? If an error window appears, could you share that too?

Are you using an NXP EVK or a custom board? Could you please try debugging an example from LPCOpen? Is the same behavior happening?

Could you please check you have selected the correct LPC18xx Internal Flash Driver? Please right click on Properties -> C/C++ Build -> MCU settings, then add a specific flash driver for the flash you want to program. You could also check more information regarding this in the MCUXpresso IDE User Guide.

Kind regards, Raul.
