I opened a legacy Workspace built using LPCXpresso in MCUXpresso.  When I built the Workspace in MCUXpresso and compared the old binaries and the new binaries they were different.  Is this  the expected bahavior?

Yes. Primarily this will be because MCUXpresso IDE uses later versions of the compiler, linker and libraries than the old LPCXpresso IDE product.

Note : If you are moving projects across into MCUXpresso IDE, then I would also suggest that you read the information contained in the MCUXpresso IDE v10.1 Installation Guide : 5. Appendix B – Migrating from LPCXpresso IDE version 8.2.x – Hints and Tips

If you need further advice on this, please post to the MCUXpresso IDE community : MCUXpresso IDE
