We are creating a board device by using LPC1114FN28/102.

It worked good at in developing process. This device output NTSC Color Signal by GPIO.

Now, we have changed MCU to LPC1114FHN33/333 from LPC1114FN28/102.

It got mixed with noise. Same circuit, same xtal, same board. It was changed only MCU on socket.

We want to remove the noise. What is difference of LPC1114FN28/102 and LPC1114FHN33/333? Is the frequency characteristic of LPC1114FN28/102 and LPC1114FHN33/333 different on GPIO?

Please help me, thank you.

Hi py ot ,

Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products and the opportunity to serve you.

What is difference of LPC1114FN28/102 and LPC1114FHN33/333?

From the operating characteristics perspective, they are almost same and the subtle differences are the package type and the number of GPIO.

 Is the frequency characteristic of LPC1114FN28/102 and LPC1114FHN33/333 different on GPIO?

No, they're identical.

I'd like to recommend you to solder some more LPC1114FHN33/333, then to check the issue whether still exist or not.

Hope it helps.
Have a great day,

I tested some MCUs that I had.

[Good to work]

* LPC1114FN28/102

* LPC1114FDH28/102

[Noisy problem...]

* LPC1114FHN33/333

* LPC1115FBD48/303

Please let me know if you notice something.

Thank you.

Hi py ot ,

Thanks for your reply.

No, I haven't seen any reports about these similar issue before.

So I'd highly recommend you to contact with the distributor who you buy from to checking the 'issue', and after confirm with it, you can ask them to do the more deeper testing to figure out the root cause of the issue or just return back these defective chips.

Hope it helps.

By the way, this is the symptom.

The left one is good and the right one is noisy. This noise is shaking.
