LPC82x v2/mbed MCUXpresso SDK Multi Timer Blinky Example

Hi Everyone,

I'm completely new to developing and I was running into some problems getting the Multi Timer Blinky example to work on the LPC82x board.

The project is straight from the SDK provided from NXP.  It can build without error, but when I try to run it, I receive this error message (MCUXpresso Error.PNG).  I have my board connected to my PC and the LED is lit, so I know there is power on the board.

These are the things I tried to do:

  • hit the "Clean Up Debug" button on the IDE, power cycle the board and try again.
  • switch USB cables
  • use a different PC
  •

Here is a List of Materials:

  • LPC82x Xpresso v2/mbed
  • USB cable
  • Windows 10 Pro verison:21H1
  • MCUXpressoIDE_11.5.0_7232

I just don't understand why I'm failing to run the simplest of programs D;
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

Hope it can help you

Hi XiangJun,

So I did what you suggested, but I still run into the previous error.

When I try to debug, this is the error I receive, I've attached a pic.

Side note, when I plug in my board to my laptop, should I be able to see my COM port in device manager?  I've tried every port in my laptop, and the COM never shows up, I have to select "show hidden devices" in order to see the device manager pic I attached.  Should it matter?

Hi,

I suggest you download Flashmagic from the link:

https://www.flashmagictool.com/

Pls insert USB cable while you hold the SW2(ISP pin), then release SW2, the chip will enter boot mode. Try to use flashmagic tools to download

Regarding your error that you can not download code via SWD, I do not know, maybe the board has broken down.

Hope it can help you
