LPC54606 100-pin MCU ENET MAC pinout question

Hello!

I'm thinking about using the LPC54606J512ET100 for a Ethernet application. I wanted to use the 100-pin package, I noticed that not all MAC pins are pinned out. (ENET_TX_CLK mainly). Is there a demo design of the LPC54606 100-pin part with an ENET PHY?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Xiangjun,

Thanks for your reply. Upon deeper investigation, I believe that the 100-pin package of the LPC54606 supports RMII 10/100 ENET  and the 180-pin supports RGMII 10/100/100 ENET, am I correct in assuming that the LPC54606 SOC device uses a different physical ENET MAC depending on the package selected?

Thanks again!

Hi, Estanislao,

As you know that the LPC ethernet  module supports 10/100MBPS, the 100-pin package of the LPC54606 supports RMII 10/100 ENET only.  It includes the following Ethernet signals:

ENET_MDC/MDIO

ENET_RxD0/RxD1/Rx_CLK/Rx_DV

ENET_TxD0/TxD1/TxEN

You can select an ethernet PHY which supports RMII protocol

I think you can use the LAN8720A as PHY the same as that of LPC54608-EVK.

Hope it can help you

Hi, Estanistao,

I think you can refer to the ethernet PHY design on the LPC evaluation board.

I attach the schematics of the PC54608-EVK board, pls refer to sheet 8 for the ethernet PHY design.

Hope it can help you.
