I am currently using Windows 7 64 bit with KSD 3.0 and can't resize the project generator window to reach the generate button.  How can I take care of this problem?

Hi,

Check out the Windows DPI setting in "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display" and make sure it is set to "Smaller -  100%". If the text on the screen looks to small after that change then change to a lower screen resolution. Unfortunately many modern displays have resolutions far higher than the physical screen size allows us to see so Microsoft allow us to try and upscale all the contents. However, this fails on many applications.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Unfortunately neither I nor Iva have found a solution to the problem.  It is "encouraging" that I am not alone with some defective hardware.

Hopefully someone will figure out why it is not working properly.

Great info Adrian!

Changing the display to "small" will display the window properly.

At least I can use the program until it gets properly fixed so it also works with the medium and large display settings.

Thanks again.

Thank you Iva for a very fast response.

Here is a screen capture:

The same executable works OK on another Win-7 -64bit.

The problem is on a Lenovo laptop.  I have been switching screen resolutions but no improvements.

Hello Jairo,

please, what is your screen resolution?

Please, try this option for the application:

  • Right click on the application and choose Properties

ksdk_1.png

  • in tab Compatibility please choose resolution 640x480

ksdk_2.png

  • execute the application again

Please, let me know, if it helps you.

Thanks Iva,

I tried the 640x480 earlier.  The screen looked horrible but the problem iwa the same.

I have also tried changing the screen resolution but it did not help.

I have a dual monitor setup and dragging it to the other monitor does not help.

Hi Iva,

The normal resolution is 2560 x 1440.

I have tried setting the system to lower resolution but no improvement.

Hi Jairo,

please, have you already solved your issue?

Please check the option Smaller.

Thanks.

Thanks for checking.

Adrian's suggestion temporarily resolves the problem but of course it makes a mess of all the icons on the desktop.

Hopefully the development team will fix the bug by monitoring the resolution setting so this issue disappears.

Thanks again for you help.
