Does KMS work with FRDM-MC-LVBLDC

I have a FRDM-KV31F with a FRDM-MC-LVBLDC board that I want to use for BLDC motor control. Does KMS support this board and BLDC control? When using KMS I only get an option for sensorless PMSM control. If it is supported can you please point me to relevant app notes?

Hello Rahul,

KMS will drive a BLDC motor but KMS is compatible with the FRDM-MC-LVPMSM shield, not the FRDM-MC-LVBLDC shield.  The reason for this is the feedback mechanism KMS is phase current and no Back EMF.  the PMSM circuit supplies these current sense circuits.

Software to drive the FRDM-MC-LVBLDC with once of the MCU FRDM boards is available for free on NXP.COM.
