I'm looking for some entry level motor control projects. Maybe the motor could be

a 12v DC motor with less than one amp, under microcontroller command.

Thanks for your post.

For a simple 12V brushed DC motor (<1A), Kinetis K02/K20 or KE02/KE04 are perfect choices.
They provide PWM (via FTM), GPIO control, ADC for current sensing, and are low-cost and easy for beginners.

If you later want to try BLDC or FOC control, you may upgrade to the Kinetis KV series, but for your current 12V DC motor, K/KE family are more than enough.
