What is the "D" mean in DSPI?

I don't get it.

In the CW Registers view the D is said to be "Deserial"

??

It stands for DMA. The module is "DSPI" in the RM, but you'll notice the registers are just named as "SPI" to keep consistency with older FSL parts.

I think it ought to be DMA-enabled, but whatever. In the K20 reference manual that I am using, it is the one section where the meaning of the acronym is not given. It's an error in the documentation.
