What is the meaning of the Errata e7166?

Hi Freescale peoples,

I would like to know the meaning of the errata e7166. The background is that USB, NFC and SDHC are in static state or OFF state at STOP, VLPS, LLS and VLLSx modes. So I think it is a reasonable restriction to ensure no outstanding transaction on the bus-matrix. Therefore, I don't know what the errata e7166 want to make caution. Can you explain why the errata exists? Is it applied only to VLPW mode?

I have another question. In the errata, the target devices are limited to Kinetis K series. Why is the errata not applied to Kinetis L series? By simple thinking, the clock supply to the bus-matrix stops after each module of Kinetis L.  In this condition, why can Kinetis L survive even in the low power modes?

Hi,

Please check Kinetis K series product reference manual, such as K70 reference manual Table 7-2. Module operation in low power modes, which shows NFC and SDHC is full function at VLPW mode.

The errata e7166 shows below multiplexer is clock shut off when entry into any low power mode. From the application consideration, this errata only be available for VLPW low power mode.

The Kinetis L series product is using Crossbar-light switch, which without the multiplexer. That's why this errata info not be suitable to Kinetis L series product.
