The pin VDD and VSS was shorted sometimes when K60DN512 's is working .

Dear sir.We use k60 series for bettery management products.We find the processor did not work sometimes,the pin VDD and VSS was shorted. Do you have any suggest to afoid this?Thank you!

      Could you tell me how many board on your side meet this question? Or just one board?

     When you meet the VDD and VSS shorten problem, can it be recover back? Or the K60 chip is damaged?

     Besides, I think mybe you can try to change the capacitor between VDD and VSS.

Thank you for your reply. There are dozens of boards meet this problem every year in our products.And we find the k60 chip is damaged.Afer we replace a new chip,the board can work again.The capacitors between VDD and VSS is 0.1uF and close to the chip.I wanna know this problem is easily caused by which reason ?ESD?Over Loaded or Latch-up current?

     I think you should check your power, you should make sure your VDD is below 3.8V, and the IDD should below 185 mA, this is very important!

     Whether your power will exceed the VDD limited value in sometimes?
