Hello,
I would like to use the Kinetis K24F ADC for subsampling a signal. However, I cannot find the full-power bandwidth of the 16 bit ADC in the K24F specification.
Any idea where I can get this information ?
Thanks,
Hi Jean-Luc,
I had a similar question as to what the analog bandwidth of the ADC is.
I was wondering if you have measured it and what value of bandwidth you found for the ADC?
Thanks,
George

		Hi Jean-Luc
What do you mean with full power bandwidth?

Hi Vincent,
Full-power bandwidth is defined as the frequency at which the amplitude of the digitized signal is decreased by 3 dB when the input is near the full scale amplitude. This is important for subsampling, where the input frequencies are above the sampling frequency. This is different from oversampling where we have to respect the Shannon-Nyquist rule, and it works as long as the signal is correctly band-limited and as long as the ADC does not filter out frequencies above the sampling frequency ! Thus my question...
I hope it is clearer now.
Thanks,
Jean-Luc

		Hi Jean Luc
Unfortunately we do not have that data.

Hi Vincent,
Do you think it might be added to the spec of the K24F ?
If no, we might consider acquiring an FRDM-K64F and measure it. However it is equipped by default with a K64F, not a K24F. I am wondering however if the same ADC is present on both chips ?
Thanks,
Jean-Luc

		Hi Jean- Luc
yes the K24 and the K64 has the same ADC module.
