Over voltage Power Supply effects on Kinetis K26 microcontroller IO's states

Hello,

we are using Kinetis K26 microcontroller in our design. based on the datasheet, supply voltage is 3.3V +/- 10%. in normal operation supply voltage is well with in the mentioned range of 3.3V+/-10%.

However we would like to know the IO's state when power supply range goes above the maximum voltage of 3.6V (maximum of 4.1V).

will controller retain the previous state of IO's?

will the state of IO's will be tri-state / High impedance?

Thanks,

Hi Puneeth,

No, it won't. Although supply power over 3.6v may harm to the device, it will not change the pin into tri-state or high-impedance.

Jing
