Hello, from a first look at the datasheets the two components are perfectly equal. The first is "active" the second is "not recommended for new designs". Can anyone tell me the differences between these two microcontrollers ?? What does this extra letter A on the part number mean ??

thank you

Hi Piffi,
The A revision was (I believe) introduced to solve silicon anomalies that were hard/impossible to work around. Some were quite severe. I remember struggling quite a bit with UART bugs back then. I actually didn't take long before the A revision was introduced and the still relatively new non-A became NRND.

Non-A errata: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/errata/KINETIS_K_2N03G.pdf
A errata: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/errata/KINETIS_K_1N41K.pdf

Hope it helps.

Kind regards,
Troels

thanks troelsoesteraa,

the strange thing is that we have a device with MASK SET "1N41K" but the letter A is not engraved on the package (see following image)

This is normal?? In this case what version of silicon is it??

thank you Greetings
