I have designed a development kit for Google ADB (Android Debug Bridge) with MKL25Z128VLK/VLH4. Now I am looking for a suitable silicon for AOA (Android Open Accessory).
KL25Z is a good choice, but not perfect.
The MCU used in AOA/ADK should have I2S/USB host.
FSL released a new FRDM-K20D50M with I2S port available on different GPIO. FRDM-KL46Z is better, it has separate column dedicated for I2S.
Since there is no application note for similar design, I am not confident if KL26/46 can offer enough computing power to process USB host communication as well as Audio playback + recording on 48MHz? Even M4F based K20D50 can only run up to 50MHz. Should I use K20D100?
But I can not find any pricing information for K20_100 at K20_100 产品概述
I can only find K20D50. There is no suitable boards for K20_100. I have to design it from scratch?

Hi, Liu Kai
I am agree with you. KL46 is not a good choice for your applicaiton. It only can run up to 48MHz. I think K20 series is good for you. It has I2S and USB function. It also can run up to 120MHz.
Best Regards

for the K20_100 you can use a TWR-K60D100M or to start your project and your custom board is developed. Once you have your boar then port the application. For the audio codec, probably a TWR-AUDIO-SGTL or a TWR-AUDIO-DA7321:
