Dear team,

I wonder if NXP SDK for KL82 provides any HAL API to introduce a delay in microsecond resolutions?

if not, could you please provide the best practical way to implement such a dealy function? (BTW, I saw the LPO has a clock with an output of 1khz maybe we can use that for lowering the total power consumption)

Wating for your kind feedback, Thanks a lot.

BR,

Shai

Hi @shai_b

Same as the other thread, I really appreciate your patience. Thank you so much.

Regarding your question, there is exactly what you are looking for right here:

https://community.nxp.com/t5/Kinetis-Microcontrollers/In-built-delay-function/m-p/871916

Please take a look into that one, and also you may check this post on our community:

https://community.nxp.com/t5/Kinetis-Microcontrollers/How-to-generate-microsecond-delay-with-SysTick...

They are pretty useful because you use SysTick to have that HAL API for microsecond delay. Both applies for all Kinetis family.

Hope that is helpful, please let me know if you have more questions. Otherwise, please mark this answer as solution.

Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Pablo Avalos.

Hi @shai_b

Thank you so much again for using our community. I really appreciate your patience.

Please let me take a look into this, so please give me more time to reach you back with a proper answer. Also, LPO is a good alternative to generate that signal that you mentioned and reduce the power consumption. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have more questions.

Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Pablo Avalos.
