Hello Kevin,

In this case I would like to recommend the following documentation in order to improve your application:

1. Crystal Oscillator Troubleshooting Guide

2. Microcontroller Oscillator Circuit Design Considerations

Hope this material will be useful for you.

Have an excellent day :smileyhappy:

Hi,

try to put a 1Mohm resistor in parallel to the oscillator (between Extal and Xtal)

Hi

Make sure the high-/low gain mode is correctly set in OSC_CR

OSC_CR_HGO should be used with high loading and a feedback resistor but should not be set when there is no feedback resistor.
