K32 L2A Force RESETn pin to be dedicated

Hi,

I am using a Kinetis K32 L2A microcontroller in our design. As part of our model, we require the RESETn pin to be dedicated (i.e. it must not be possible from software to change it's pin mux state).

I can see in the Reference Manual Chapter 6.3.2: FTFA_FOPT[3]:

RESET_PIN_CFG: When set to 1, it says the following: "RESET_b pin is dedicated. The port is configured with pullup enabled, open drain, passive filter enabled".

Does this mean that the option to mux the pin as anything other than RESET_b is now disabled?

Thanks,

Sachin Patel

Hi @sachin_patel ,

Yes, if want to mux reset pin to other function, RESET_PIN_CFG must be zero.

Regards,

Jing
