I have 10 Kinetis parts, mark M04R5VLF, 1N96F, CTGYQDD, doing strange things.. I thou they were MKL04Z32VLF4's but can't figure it out from the data sheat, as to what there realy are, can any one help ?

I have 10 Kinetis parts,  mark M04R5VLF, 1N96F, CTGYQDD,   doing strange things, are there MKL04Z32VLF'S ?

Debugging works fine..   but can't get any output pin's to change, or even driven,   also the Reset pin is oscillating,  around 700 Hz,   but,,   the debugger works just fine,

and status shows no Reset, but for the Debugger reset,   I can program flash..  etc..  just fine,  programer appears to run fine too.. but no pin outputs on any pin..

Hello,

It's correct, M04R5V is a Kinetis KL04 MCU. The reset pin oscillating is normal behaviour of samples/production units. Are you flashing any example to the MCU? Do a mass erase and then try to program an example that toggles any pin, and let us know the results.

I'm using the  FRDM-KL05Z to program the  MKL04Z32VLF4,  this a pear’s this is a big mistake :smileyalert:,    the manual for the the FRDM-KL05Z  elev board say's you can use the 10 pin header to program external chips,    by Cutting the truck under J6,   so disconnect the

on board  KL05Z  from the programer,   well in fact this dos not work at all,   cutting the track under J6  just disconnect the SWD clock from the external target CPU and keep the connect to the on-board CPU intact :smileyalert::smileyalert:.    Of coarse if you power off the external CPU

you can't program in on-board CPU as it pull's the SWD data low.    so you think it's talking to the external CPU..  which of coarse it not,  and you now turn on the external CPU power..   thinking all is good,   and now trying programing it,  but wait..   it program's but  nothing happens,  no sign of programing working on the external CPU, and if you have a fresh CPU form the factory as I do,  you just sea it resetting at about 700 hz,   and can't think as to what the F@#$% your doing wrong !!!!

So five day's latter,  endless checking maul's.. and looking at programing dump's :smileyconfused:,  to find  out as to what the  brain dead mistake !'m making !  to only find out what the real problem is,   using a digital multimeter  and tacking the trace's on the FRDM-KL05Z elev board !!! :smileyangry::smileysad::smileyconfused:

So that's where I'm at,   I cut the SWD clock at the on-board KL05Z chip, and joined up the J6 jumper,   now it dos not program the on board MKL05 any more,  but dos not recognizer the external MKL04Z32VLF4 chip, !!!

is there any thing else I should know about this load.. of..    !#$^#$%&   eve board ?     Can it program any other type of chip other than  KL05Z ?

Hello,

Have a look at:

http://mcuoneclipse.com/2013/04/27/debug-external-processors-with-usbdm-and-freedom-board/

I don't understand exactly the process you followed to program the external board with the FRDM. Try to explain it clearly and with pictures and we will try to help you.
