Hi Community,

I am interested in purchasing the FRDM-KE02Z40M development board, but I would like to power it from a 120V wall adapter. The reason is that I want to test the board as standalone, not connected to a PC. If this board can be powered from 120V, how do I indicate that I need a barrel connector on the board and also a wall adapter, so that when I receive it, it is ready to go. The description of this board states that it can be powered with an "External source power supply."

Thanks.

Hi

You can power the board via USB cable from a standard USB charger (eg. as used to charge a smart phone, plugged into 120VAC). Also you can power it for a USB power pack (although they don't always turn on when the current is low and it may be necessary to load it with a parallel resistor).
