Hello everybody,

I am going to construct a new device, which will be used as AC induction motor controller. I have worked with DSC 56F8300E(X) recently, but nowadays I am ruminating on Kinetis KV platform. Which platform is according to you better for new development? What is your opinion?

Thank you very much for your replies.

Hi,

thank you for your advice. So, I have decided to use Kinetis V based platform for my current project regarding ACIMs. I believe, it will work fine...

Nice day,

Miroslav

Hi,

I do not know if you use FOC or VVVF algorithms to control a ACIM, anyway, I suggest you use KV family to control ACIM.

We have the library for the motor control based on Cortex-M0, Cortex-M4 and Cortex-M7, for example Clark/park transformation,  PID, SVPWM, bus voltage decolping...

For example, most of peripherals of KV5x are the same as that of DSC.

This is KV website:

Kinetis Low Power 32-bit Microcontrollers (MCUs) based on ARM® Cortex®-M Cores|NXP

Hope it can help you
